Another chapter in the book "Women who Run With the Wolves, inspired this painting. The Butterfly Woman, Joyous Body: The Wild Flesh
The butterfly is a very delicate creature, it will turn to dust if you hold it too tight. But if the butterfly doesn't stay in the cocoon long enough it won't develop its wings and wont ever be able to fly therefore it will be vulnerable to its enemy's.
My Butterfly Woman is so joyful and light that she dances among the stars, the heat from her joy filled heart emanates from within. The vibration of her wings travel on throughout the universe.
Her antennae are extended and have pom poms that dance to the music on their own.
